At Just 26 Years Old, Jember DPRD Member Caught Playing Games and Smoking Owns 3 Properties

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The figure of Jember DPRD member Achmad Syahri Assidiqi is currently in the public spotlight after being caught playing online games while smoking in the middle of a public hearing (RDP) discussing health issues on Monday (11/5/2026). Syahri’s actions, recorded on video and circulating on social media, have drawn criticism from netizens. It should be noted that the RDP addressed issues such as measles, stunting, maternal and infant mortality (AKI/AKB), and the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) programme in the Banmus DPRD Jember meeting room, which is equipped with air conditioning. The RDP was held with the Health Office (Dinkes) for Population Control and Family Planning, the Social Services Office for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Jember BPJS Health, and representatives from 15 community health centres. According to the DPRD Jember website, Achmad Syahri Assidiqi was born in Jember on 21 June 1999. This Gerindra Party cadre is the son of former DPR RI member Fadil Muzakki Syah. Syahri was elected as a Jember DPRD member from electoral district (Dapil) 6, covering the sub-districts of Jombang, Kencong, Gumukmas, and Puger. Citing the e-LHKPN website on Wednesday (13/5/2026), Syahri has a total wealth of Rp 3.4 billion. Of this amount, he owns three property assets worth Rp 2.95 billion, precisely Rp 2,951,275,600.
