The Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, and the Deputy Governor of Lampung, Jihan Nurlela, accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, as he officially opened the 18th National Conference (Munas) of the Central Executive Board (BPP) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI). The event, which brought together thousands of delegates of young Indonesian entrepreneurs, was held at the Ballroom of the Novotel Hotel, Bandar Lampung, on Wednesday (10 June). The 18th National Conference also coincided with the commemoration of HIPMI’s 54th Anniversary, which falls on 10 June 2026. Joining the Head of State at the opening were ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, including Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Housing and Settlement Maruarar Sirait, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

In his directives, President Prabowo Subianto stressed the essential importance of nationalism in driving the wheels of the national economy. The President underlined that the economic advancement of a modern country could never be created independently without the stimulation of a strong national commitment from its business actors. ‘The breath of HIPMI’s birth is nationalism. Truly, there is no progress for a nation without nationalism, there really isn’t,’ President Prabowo asserted before HIPMI cadres from across Indonesia. Prabowo also invited all young entrepreneurs to conduct a deep reflection on the implementation of the Pancasila economic system, particularly Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. Currently, the Government is paying serious attention to strengthening the economic structure at the grassroots level and correcting anomalies in access to financing that have long been perceived as burdensome for super micro business actors and MSMEs in the regions.

Regarding the strategic direction of national development towards Golden Indonesia 2045, President Prabowo reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to accelerating the industrialisation programme based on commodity downstream processing and energy self-sufficiency within the next three years. This step is deemed strategic so that the domestic market is fully controlled and enjoyed by the strength of domestic industry. ‘All of our commodities will be processed and will become industries in Indonesia. This is an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to rise up, because we do not want to merely become the market for other nations. We want Indonesia’s market to be enjoyed by Indonesia’s own sons and daughters,’ he said. In addition, to face the situation of global geopolitical uncertainty, President Prabowo called on the national business world to close ranks under the banner of a collaborative national spirit, through the Indonesia Incorporated principle. ‘We compete not to kill each other; we compete to lift each other up, compete to strengthen each other,’ said Prabowo.

Prior to attending the Opening of the 18th HIPMI National Conference, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal accompanied President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate the KH Muhammad Thohir Krui Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Pesisir Barat Regency. The presence of the hospital constitutes a concrete manifestation of the government’s commitment to delivering equitable healthcare services to coastal areas and remote regions in Lampung Province.
