At 56, Jamkrindo Expands Contribution to the Economy
PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) commemorated its 56th anniversary under the theme ‘Guaranteeing More Broadly, Having a More Real Impact’. In more than five decades, Jamkrindo has continued to strengthen its role as Indonesia’s largest guarantee company through organisational transformation, governance strengthening, digital innovation, and increased contribution to expanding financing access for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives (MSME-K) to promote inclusive and sustainable national economic growth. Jamkrindo President Director Abdul Bari stated that the company’s 56-year journey is the result of the dedication of all company personnel, predecessors, and the trust placed by the government, shareholders (BP BUMN, Danantara and Holding Indonesia Financial Group), regulators, stakeholders, business partners, MSME-K partners, and the Indonesian public. ‘This 56-year momentum is an opportunity for us to express our highest appreciation and gratitude to all parties who have been part of Jamkrindo’s journey. For 56 years, Jamkrindo has not only built a company but also built trust. That trust is the foundation for us to continue growing, transforming, and delivering increasingly broad benefits for society and the Indonesian economy,’ said Abdul Bari. Entering its 56th year, Jamkrindo is committed to strengthening its role in supporting the progress of MSME-Ks as the backbone of the national economy through more inclusive, innovative, and impactful guarantee services. Abdul Bari noted that the anniversary occurs at a crucial moment for the guarantee industry, which is undergoing transformation through an industry purification agenda, governance strengthening, institutional capacity building, and competitiveness enhancement to make the industry healthier, more professional, and sustainable. As the largest guarantee company in Indonesia, part of the Holding Indonesia Financial Group, Jamkrindo bears an increasingly strategic responsibility to strengthen the national guarantee industry ecosystem. To address these challenges, Jamkrindo continues to bolster organisational capacity through human resource competency development, enhanced professionalism, a strengthened risk management culture, and accelerated digital transformation. The use of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business process automation is continuously developed to improve service quality, accelerate business processes, and strengthen company competitiveness. On the business side, Jamkrindo also continues to drive quality growth through portfolio diversification, business ecosystem development, strategic partnership strengthening, and the implementation of good corporate governance. The company believes that sustainable growth can only be achieved through a balance between business expansion, prudent risk management, and innovation oriented towards stakeholder needs. Over 56 years of contributing to the national economy, Jamkrindo has become an integral part of the nation’s economic development journey by expanding financial accessibility. Through its guarantee services, tens of millions of MSME-Ks have gained access to financing. This access opens opportunities for business actors and cooperatives to increase production capacity, expand markets, strengthen competitiveness, create jobs, and elevate MSME-Ks to become the main drivers of the Indonesian economy. For Jamkrindo, every guarantee is not merely a mitigation of financing risk but an investment in the nation’s economic future. Behind every guaranteed financing, there are business actors and cooperatives that continue to grow, communities that gain better economic opportunities, and the birth of new economic growth centres in various regions. ‘This is the meaning of the 56th anniversary theme, ’Guaranteeing More Broadly, Having a More Real Impact’, which is to ensure that every step of the company’s business is able to create sustainable economic and social value for Indonesia,’ he said. As part of the anniversary commemoration, Jamkrindo also organised various Social and Environmental Responsibility programmes focused on improving human resource quality and community welfare. The series of activities included a sustainable library programme for 5,600 Indonesian children, a remote teaching programme, an appreciation programme for teachers in remote areas, and a reading corner assistance programme in 9 regions of Indonesia. Further programmes included a mental health education sustainability programme for parents and guardians of elementary school students to build a healthy and supportive family environment for child development, and a quality teacher education programme for smart Indonesian children to strengthen the capacity of educators in creating quality learning. The company also launched the Empathy, Literacy, and Child Growth Mobile Service (PELITA) as a mobile education facility that expands access to literacy, education, and child development support services in various regions. In addition, Jamkrindo held a blood donation drive as a form of concern for public health. The entire series of TJSL programmes represents the company’s real commitment that business growth must go hand in hand with the creation of sustainable social value, so that the benefits of the company’s presence can be felt more widely by the community. ‘Jamkrindo’s success is not only measured by business growth, but also by how much benefit it can bring to society. Through guarantee services and various empowerment programmes, we want to ensure that Jamkrindo’s presence continues to provide real impact for the progress of the nation,’ concluded Abdul Bari.
