ASUS Says AI Increasingly a Necessity for Professionals and MSMEs
ASUS Indonesia assesses that artificial intelligence (AI) technology is increasingly becoming a necessity for professionals and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) players to enhance work productivity. This development is driving the company to introduce devices capable of supporting AI utilisation whilst meeting users’ mobility needs.
ASUS Indonesia Commercial Director Eric Khoven stated that business players in Indonesia are now relying more on AI to accelerate various activities, whether working in the office or in a hybrid setting.
“The business segment in Indonesia is increasingly relying on AI technology to accelerate productivity, both in the office and when working from anywhere. Through the ASUS ExpertBook P5 G2, we are delivering a solution that is not only powerful but also designed with world-class security and durability standards,” Eric said in a written statement on Thursday (23/7/2026).
According to Eric, the need for work devices is also continuously evolving alongside the increasing use of AI-based applications in daily activities. Therefore, the devices used are not only required to have high performance but must also be able to support collaboration, maintain data security, and remain reliable for use in various work locations.
To address these needs, ASUS is introducing the ExpertBook P5 G2, powered by an AMD Ryzen processor with a neural processing unit (NPU) to accelerate AI processing locally. The laptop also supports Windows Copilot+ PC and the ASUS MyExpert platform, which provides AI-based features such as meeting summary generation, writing assistance, and email management.
Additionally, the device is equipped with an AI-based noise-cancelling feature and an AI-technology camera capable of automatically adjusting lighting and image framing to support virtual meetings.
ASUS has also fortified the ExpertBook P5 G2 with layered security features, including TPM 2.0, a fingerprint sensor, and Windows 11 Secured-core PC to protect user data. In terms of mobility, this laptop weighs from 1.27 kilogrammes, has a battery capacity of up to 70Wh, and meets the MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standard.
Eric stated that the device is designed to meet the needs of hybrid professionals and MSME players who require a work device with high performance, security, and flexibility to support business activities.
“We want the ExpertBook P5 G2 not only to excel on paper but to truly provide benefits in the daily work scenarios of professionals and business leaders in Indonesia,” he said.
