The ultra-portable gaming laptop market in Indonesia welcomes a new star. ASUS has officially launched the latest ROG Zephyrus G14, featuring significant upgrades in artificial intelligence (AI) performance and premium design. Is the combination of a slim body and “monster” specs worth the price?
According to the company’s official statement, the laptop is designed to meet the needs of gamers and content creators who require high mobility without compromising on heavy computing performance.
The ROG Zephyrus G14 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, featuring a hybrid architecture optimised for efficient AI workloads.
For graphics, ASUS has included the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with a Total Graphics Power (TGP) of 115W, ensuring stable visual performance for AAA games and video rendering applications.
A key selling point is the Omni Virtual Assistant, which differs from standard digital assistants by operating offline to help users with tasks.
Regarding the display, ASUS has not compromised; the Zephyrus G14 uses an OLED panel with ROG Nebula Display HDR technology. The screen features a sharp 3K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and high colour accuracy essential for creative professionals.
Aesthetically, the chassis is built using sturdy yet lightweight CNC aluminium. The distinctive Slash Lighting feature on the lid adds a futuristic and elegant touch.
Managing heat in such a slim chassis is a major challenge. ASUS addresses this with Tri-Fan Technology, a system using three cooling fans to ensure optimal airflow during heavy workloads. Despite its slim profile, the laptop retains a comprehensive port selection, eliminating the need for additional dongles.
