Asus Googlebook leaked before official launch

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Asus Googlebook has begun to reveal its true form through several recent renders, showcasing a slim design, dedicated Google buttons, and the signature Glowbar before its official launch.

GSM Arena reported on Sunday that these leaks provide a clearer picture of the device Asus is preparing as part of the first generation of Googlebooks. Google previously announced the Googlebook as a new laptop category that combines the Android and ChromeOS experiences with Gemini artificial intelligence capabilities.

The lid is adorned with the ASUS logo placed in the centre, while a multi-colour light bar, or Glowbar, is positioned above it. This Glowbar serves as a visual element used by Google to differentiate the Googlebook from conventional laptops.

The keyboard section of the laptop features one of the most interesting details, with Asus precisely embedding a button featuring the ‘G’ logo to the left of the Alt key. While the official function of this button has not yet been explained, its presence emphasises the integration of Google services into the device.

Internal renders of the device also reveal an active cooling system. A fan and heat pipe are visible beneath the chassis, indicating that the laptop utilises a cooling system to manage processor workloads. However, the specific type of processor used by ASUS has not yet been confirmed.

Google has confirmed that the pre-order period for the Googlebook will commence on 21 September 2026. Nevertheless, the price, processor specifications, RAM capacity, storage, display, and battery life of the ASUS Googlebook have not yet been officially announced.
