Astra Tol Cipali: Gradual Implementation of "One Way" Smooths Return Traffic Flow
Head of Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications at Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, stated that the policy is a follow-up to directives from the National Police Traffic Corps. “We are implementing the one-way system gradually to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during the return journey,” Ardam said in a statement received in Cirebon on Friday. He explained that the one-way traffic engineering is applied from KM 263 on the Pejagan-Pemalang toll section to KM 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll section. The second phase continued from KM 169 to KM 132 starting at 09:27 WIB, in line with the increasing volume of vehicles heading to Jakarta. The third phase was then applied from KM 188 to KM 169 at 10:08 WIB, bringing the entire section up to Palimanan into the one-way scheme. “Thus, the one-way system is now fully operational along the entire Cipali toll road up to KM 188,” he said. He added that before the implementation, personnel had sterilised the lanes and rest areas since 08:00 WIB. His side recorded around 42,000 vehicles passing through Cikopo towards Jakarta, a figure that increased by about 11% compared to the same period the previous day. “However, the total traffic volume on the Cipali toll during that period was about 6% lower than the previous day,” he said. Ardam advised road users not to change lanes or use U-turns during the one-way scheme. “In addition, road users are asked to maintain their physical condition and vehicle, and can exit through the nearest toll gate if they need to change lanes without incurring additional toll fees,” he said.
