Cirebon (ANTARA) - The operator of the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road (Astra Tol Cipali) in West Java has prepared traffic service fleets and optimised rest area facilities to face the second peak of Lebaran return traffic, predicted to occur on Sunday (29/3).

Head of Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department at Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, stated that these steps are prepared to ensure that the journeys of vehicle owners towards Jakarta proceed safely and comfortably.

“We want this year’s moment to leave a positive impression for the public, encompassing the safety and comfort of the road infrastructure, rest areas, and the services of the officers,” said Ardam in a statement received in Cirebon on Saturday.

He conveyed that since before the outbound traffic began, his company has carried out various preparations to support smooth traffic flow.

According to him, one of the efforts undertaken, especially during the return traffic period, is deploying 19 tow truck units and 10 patrol vehicles at several strategic points along the toll road.

In addition, he said, security personnel are also placed at various locations to assist with traffic regulation and handling emergency conditions.

“We are also optimising services at eight active rest areas, including the functional rest area at KM 77 towards Jakarta,” he stated.

He mentioned that currently, 1,024 free toilets are provided, along with an increase in vehicle parking capacity and an increase in the number of officers to serve road users.
