Cirebon, West Java - The operator of the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road in West Java, Astra Tol Cipali, recorded 627,000 vehicles passing through the route during the period from H-8 to H-3 before Lebaran, or from 13 to 18 March 2026. “The accumulated vehicles passing through Tol Cipali are around 627,000 units,” said Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, in his statement in Cirebon, West Java, on Thursday. He mentioned that on H-4 Lebaran or 17 March 2026, the number of vehicles passing through the Cipali Toll Road was recorded at around 108,000 units. Subsequently, the company recorded that on H-3 Lebaran or 18 March 2026, the number of vehicles increased to around 141,000 units. “This figure is 176 percent higher than normal daily traffic and increased by 6 percent compared to the Lebaran period last year,” he said. According to him, this increase indicates the increasingly high mobility of the public ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Ardam stated that on this Thursday, coinciding with the Nyepi holiday or H-2 Lebaran, traffic flow on the Cipali Toll Road was monitored as busy but still smooth. He detailed that based on data from 00:00 to 22:00 WIB, 108,000 vehicles had passed through the former Cikopo Toll Gate towards Cirebon. “This number is 14.3 percent lower than the same period on the previous day,” he said. He explained that in the previous period, the average vehicle volume passing through reached around 5,200 vehicles per hour. Nevertheless, he said, at 19:00 WIB, traffic flow began to ease with a vehicle volume of around 3,700 vehicles per hour. From the service side, the company implemented a situational open-close system at rest areas along the Cipali Toll Road, adjusting to parking capacity and field conditions. “We urge road users to prepare their journeys thoroughly, ensure physical fitness remains in good condition, and vehicles are in prime condition, including sufficient fuel, vehicle battery power, and electronic money balance,” he said.
