Astra Reports Net Profit of Rp5.85 Trillion in Q1-2026
PT Astra International Tbk recorded a net profit of Rp5.85 trillion in the first quarter of 2026. This figure is 16% lower than the Rp6.93 trillion from the same period the previous year. Astra’s President Director Rudy explained that the weakened performance mainly stemmed from the heavy equipment, mining, construction, and energy business lines, which are currently facing challenges. “In the first quarter of 2026, the Group’s profit declined mainly due to lower contributions from the heavy equipment, mining, construction, and energy divisions. However, other businesses recorded better performance, which helped to offset part of the decline,” Rudy stated in a written release on Thursday, 30 April 2026. He added that in terms of revenue, Astra booked Rp78.67 trillion in the first three months of the year, down 6% year-on-year from Rp83.36 trillion in the corresponding period last year. The decline occurred in several main business lines. Revenue from goods sales fell 7.1% to Rp53.74 trillion, while the services and rentals segment weakened by 6.19% to Rp16.43 trillion. On the other hand, the financial services business recorded a growth of 6.80% to Rp8.49 trillion. In line with the revenue decline, the cost of revenue also decreased by 4.72% to Rp63.17 trillion, compared to Rp66.30 trillion in the first quarter of 2025. Rudy assessed that going forward, market conditions will still be overshadowed by global uncertainties, including rising geopolitical tensions. “We will continue to manage short-term challenges carefully and disciplinedly, while remaining focused on creating value for stakeholders,” he said. On the balance sheet side, Astra’s total assets stood at Rp517.80 trillion at the end of the first quarter of 2026, growing 2.06% compared to the previous year. These assets consist of equity of Rp239.12 trillion and liabilities of Rp224.68 trillion.
