Astra Jardine sees sales up
JAKARTA (JP): Astra Jardine CMG Life, a joint insurance venture, expects an increase in its premium revenues by 100 percent or Rp 9 billion (US$3.9 million) this year, the company's president, Rob Phillips, said yesterday.
"Our captive market is only 30 percent, meaning that only a small portion of our revenues comes from the employees of our group of companies," Phillips said.
The company is 50 percent owned by Astra Group and 50 percent by Jardine CMG Life of Hong Kong.
He added that Astra Jardine's sharp growth is in line with the introduction of new products, which provide options of premium payments.
The new products are Danatra Cendekia for children's education, Danatra Multiguna for disability insurance, Danatra Pusaka for family protection and Danatra Medika for health protection.(kod)
