Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) booked a net profit of Rp5.85 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, a 16% year-on-year (yoy) decrease compared to Rp6.93 trillion in the same period of 2025.

“In the first quarter of 2026, the Group’s profit declined mainly due to lower contributions from the heavy equipment, mining, construction, and energy division. However, other businesses recorded better performance, which was able to offset some of the decline,” said ASII President Director Rudy in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

The company’s net profit was supported by net revenue of Rp78.67 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, a 6% (yoy) decrease compared to Rp83.36 trillion in the same period of 2025.

Details of revenue include a 7.1% (yoy) decline in the goods sales business line to Rp53.74 trillion, a 6.19% (yoy) decrease in the services and rentals business line to Rp16.43 trillion. Meanwhile, the financial services business line grew 6.80% (yoy) to Rp8.49 trillion.

In line with the revenue decline, the cost of revenue also decreased by 4.72% (yoy) to Rp63.17 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, compared to Rp66.30 trillion in the same period the previous year.

On that occasion, Rudy projected that market conditions ahead would remain challenging amid geopolitical tensions, particularly related to developments in the conflict between the United States (US) and Iran.

“We will continue to manage short-term challenges carefully and disciplinedly, while remaining focused on creating value for stakeholders,” said Rudy.

From the balance sheet perspective, Astra International’s total assets were recorded at Rp517.80 trillion as of the first quarter of 2026, a 2.06% (yoy) increase compared to the same period the previous year. The company’s total assets consist of equity of Rp239.12 trillion and liabilities of Rp224.68 trillion.
