Astra International Reports 182,000 Unit Vehicle Sales Up to May
PT ASTRA International Tbk recorded wholesale sales (factory to dealer) of cars and trucks totalling 182,136 units from January to May 2026, a 5.73 per cent rise compared with the same period last year. Head of Corporate Communications Astra, Windy Riswantyo, said the mobility needs of the Indonesian people remain diverse and continue to evolve. “Amidst the various dynamics, Astra continuously strives to present relevant product and service choices for customers through various brands, vehicle segments, and available technologies,” she said in a written statement on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. In this achievement, Astra controls 50.73 per cent of national vehicle sales through the various brands under its umbrella. Windy said Astra remains focused on customer needs and maintaining service quality through its dealer network, financing services, after-sales, and other mobility solutions that provide added value to the public. According to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), vehicle sales from January to May 2026 totalled 359,015 units. This figure rose 12.78 per cent compared to the same period the previous year. From sales under the Astra umbrella, Toyota and Lexus branded cars sold 111,560 units, Daihatsu sold 59,420 units, Isuzu sold 10,820 units, and UD Trucks sold 336 units. In the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segment, 35,211 units were sold as of May 2026, down 19.42 per cent compared to the same period last year. However, when compared on a monthly basis, Astra’s vehicle sales experienced a decline. Sales in April reached 41,755 units, while in May they stood at 38,768 units.
