Astra International Establishes 7 Aid Posts for Communities Affected by NTT Earthquake
PT Astra International Tbk (Astra), through Nurani Astra, has established seven aid posts in several earthquake-affected areas of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to provide the support needed by communities while accompanying the post-disaster recovery process.
As of 26 August 2026, Nurani Astra’s support has reached 35,726 beneficiaries through various forms of assistance, including 5,605 basic food packages, 2,700 shelter kits, and health services for 1,946 patients in the affected areas. The seven aid posts distribute basic necessities to communities in Sikka Regency, East Manggarai Regency, Manggarai Regency, Nagekeo Regency, Ngada Regency, and Ende Regency.
“Astra strives to be present with affected communities through Nurani Astra and collaboration across the Astra Group. The support provided will continue to be adjusted to needs on the ground as part of efforts to help ease the burden on communities and support a gradual recovery process,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto, as quoted from his statement on Saturday, 29 August 2026.
Entering the next phase, Nurani Astra will prepare health service support for vulnerable groups in Nagekeo Regency, Ngada Regency, and East Manggarai Regency. The programme is aimed at pregnant women, toddlers, and the elderly, with assistance in the form of health check-ups, medicines and vitamins, and nutritious food.
In distributing aid, various Astra Group companies are involved, such as FIFGROUP, United Tractors, PAMA, KPP, SJR, Agincourt, and YPA-MDR. A total of 38 Astra volunteer personnel have also been deployed to support the distribution of aid in various affected areas.
Astra will continue to monitor developments in the condition of communities affected by the earthquake in NTT and adjust support according to needs on the ground. The company will also continue to synergise with various parties to support the handling and recovery process for disaster-affected communities.
