Approximately 6.8 million vehicles are projected to use Astra Infra’s toll road network during the homeward and return journey periods of the 2026 Eid holiday. This figure represents a 2.1 per cent increase compared to traffic volume during the corresponding period in 2025.

Astra Infra Group Chief Executive Officer Firman Yosafat Siregar stated that various preparedness measures have been implemented. These include road infrastructure readiness, facilities and amenities, personnel readiness, rest areas, and coordination to anticipate extreme weather and congestion at specific locations.

“We consistently prioritise the safety, comfort, and security of toll road users so they can enjoy the beauty of togetherness during the Eid holiday this year,” said Firman on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Beyond completing the addition of a third lane on sections of the Tangerang–Merak and Cikopo–Palimanan (Cipali) toll roads since last year, Astra Infra is also preparing road infrastructure through pavement maintenance works. This work will be completed by no later than ten days before Eid.

In anticipation of extreme weather, the company conducts routine drainage cleaning to prevent flooding. Additionally, several slope points are being reinforced to prevent landslides, moveable concrete barriers (MCB) and geobags are being installed to prevent water overflow onto the roadway, and pumps are being positioned at flood-prone locations.

“We ensure that road signs are also in good condition to guarantee the safety and comfort of toll road users,” he said.

Regarding rest area preparations, Astra Infra ensures the availability of fuel stations, electric charging stations, toilets, prayer rooms, parking areas, and diverse food options. More than 800 personnel equipped with over 90 operational toll road vehicles consisting of patrol fleets, tow trucks, rescue vehicles, and ambulances have been deployed.

To ensure the safety and smooth traffic flow for toll road users, Astra Infra has prepared more than 500 integrated CCTV units. These facilities are supported by seven traffic counter units and a 24-hour communication centre service.

“To anticipate congestion, Astra Infra is coordinating with the police in implementing traffic management measures, including the implementation of one-way traffic and contra-flow systems,” he explained.

Stakeholder Representative Member of BPJT, R Sony Sulaksono Wibowo, added that BPJT, together with BUJT, ensures that toll road services remain excellent during the Eid holiday period.

“BUJT is preparing road infrastructure targeted for completion by no later than ten days before Eid, as well as rest area facility preparations such as toilets, fuel stations, electric charging stations, dining facilities, parking areas, and other amenities,” he explained.
