PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) secured 47 percent of Indonesia’s four-wheeled vehicle market in February 2026 after recording sales of 38,074 units, a rise of approximately 9 percent from the previous month.

The contribution came from various brands under the Astra umbrella, including Toyota and Lexus, Daihatsu, and commercial vehicles such as Isuzu and UD Trucks.

Cumulatively, Astra’s vehicle sales throughout January–February 2026 reached 72,941 units. In the same period, national vehicle sales totalled 147,631 units, representing an increase of approximately 10 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.

Astra’s Head of Corporate Communications, Windy Riswantyo, stated that market movement in February indicated that automotive industry activity was becoming increasingly buoyant at the start of the year.

“The movement in sales during February 2026 demonstrates a more dynamic national automotive market at the beginning of the year and reflects an increase in vehicle purchasing activity,” Windy said in a statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).

According to her, the momentum of Ramadan and Eid 2026, which are associated with increased public mobility, has the potential to provide additional impetus for vehicle demand.

“We will continue to endeavour to present products and services that align with community needs, supported by an integrated network of sales and after-sales service throughout Indonesia,” Windy added.

Contributing models include the Toyota Calya and Toyota Agya from Toyota, as well as the Daihatsu Sigra and Daihatsu Ayla from Daihatsu.
