Astra Crude Palm Oil Output Up 3.8%

JAKARTA: Indonesian plantation company PT Astra Agro Lestari said
Wednesday that its crude palm oil output in the first 11 months
of 2002 rose 3.8% from the year-earlier period to 502,770 metric
tons.

The company said the increase in CPO production was mainly
driven by a 5.3% on-year increase in production of fresh fruit
bunches and an increase in the extraction rate to 23.1% from
22.3%.

Astra Agro is a unit of PT Astra International Indonesia. --
