Astra Commits to HR Development and Collaborative Work Environment to Drive Sustainable Growth

Astra has once again gained recognition in the field of human resource management at the HR Asia Best Companies To Work For In Asia 2026 awards. Several companies within the Astra Group won multiple accolades at the event. These include the main award, HR Asia Best Companies To Work For In Asia 2026, as well as the HR Asia People Transformation Awards 2026 and the HR Asia Sustainable Workplace Awards 2026. Astra entities such as Toyota Astra Motor, FIFGROUP, Astra Credit Companies, Surya Artha Nusantara Finance, and United Tractors also received similar awards. Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development Astra Matilda Esther Rotinsulu stated that the awards serve as motivation for the company to continue providing a work environment that supports employee development. She said on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, that the company believes its sustainability is inseparable from the contribution and spirit of Astra people to be beneficial for the nation and state, as reflected in Astra’s Catur Dharma philosophy. Rotinsulu affirmed that the award is part of Astra’s journey in building human resource quality as the company approaches its seventh decade. Astra is currently supported by 322 subsidiaries and more than 190,000 employees. HR Asia recognises companies in Asia that are considered consistent in implementing best HR practices, building employee engagement, and creating a positive and sustainable work environment. The event involves around 2.5 million respondents and 20,000 companies from various Asian countries, with 20 percent of participants coming from Fortune Global 500 Companies. In an effort to strengthen diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Astra runs several programmes, including the Perempuan Astra community, a platform for collaboration, development, and learning for female workers in the Astra Group. This community has now grown to over 3,000 members. Astra also runs a Diversity Awareness Program for Astra’s Leaders to enhance understanding of diversity at the leadership level.
