Assets Worth Rp19 Billion: Inside Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari's Financial Disclosure
A sting operation conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Bengkulu on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, has ensnared Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari. Based on examination of the official State Officials’ Wealth Disclosure Report (LHKPN) website, Fikri Thobari presents a notably prominent financial profile dominated by property assets and significant debt obligations.
In his most recent report dated 19 August 2024, Fikri Thobari’s total net worth reached Rp19,530,683,491. This figure represents a deduction from gross assets valued at Rp32.4 billion after subtracting debts of Rp12.9 billion.
As someone with an entrepreneurial background, Fikri Thobari has placed the majority of his wealth in fixed assets. He is recorded as owning 14 plots of land and buildings distributed across several strategic locations.
In contrast to his extensive land holdings, Fikri Thobari’s vehicle collection is modest yet premium. He reported two units of Japanese-manufactured vehicles.
A striking aspect of Fikri Thobari’s LHKPN disclosure is his debt value reaching Rp12,948,979,208. This debt level is considered substantial for a regional head and is suspected to be linked to his property business expansion prior to assuming office as Rejang Lebong Regent in February 2025.
To date, the KPK’s investigative team continues to conduct intensive examinations regarding allegations of bribery in infrastructure projects involving the Regent. The investigation remains ongoing as nine individuals connected to the sting operation in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu were brought to the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March. The covert operation is strongly suspected to be linked to corrupt practices in project execution within the region. Rejang Lebong Deputy Regent Iwan Sumantri has assured the continuity of public services following the KPK sting operation against Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari regarding alleged project bribery.
