Assets Seized by Taufik Hidayat: YTR and Her Friend Conspired to Reclaim Her Property
A woman with the initials YTR (29) became a victim of an alleged case of false imprisonment and abuse perpetrated by a man named Taufik Hidayat. The perpetrator, who is YTR’s boyfriend, has now been detained by the West Java Regional Police in a special holding cell. During her relationship with the perpetrator, all of the victim’s assets and property were seized, leaving YTR with no possessions whatsoever. It transpired that the perpetrator’s actions had been ongoing for a long time, since the victim was still employed at a company. A former colleague and close friend, FW, recounted the victim’s outpourings before she resigned from her job. FW could not hold back tears upon hearing her friend’s harrowing story. The victim revealed all the suffering and pressure she had to endure during her relationship with the perpetrator. FW disclosed that her friend could not escape because all her assets were held by the perpetrator, including her motorcycle, mobile phone, and bank account. FW and YTR had once planned to reclaim the victim’s assets by creating a scenario. ‘The victim asked for a bit of drama with me before the conversation ended. She said, ’Teh, it’s payday soon, but my money and ATM card are already held by the perpetrator. I need a bit of drama’,’ FW revealed on the programme Pagi Pagi Asik on tvOne. Their scheme involved the victim pretending to owe FW a debt of Rp10 million, with YTR then required to transfer Rp2 million each month. On payday, FW would send a message to the victim pretending to demand repayment. This effort was made so the victim could obtain some money while being controlled by the perpetrator. Although a transfer was made, the amount given did not match the agreement. The perpetrator only gave her Rp500,000. ‘Indeed, a transfer was made, but not for the value of Rp2 million, only Rp500,000. She showed proof of the transfer. In the photo, the perpetrator was also seen accompanying the victim to make the transfer. So it seems there was also a threat from the perpetrator,’ FW explained. After that, the victim did not come to work for several days. FW later discovered that YTR had stopped working at the office, and the resignation letter was submitted by Taufik Hidayat.
