Assault on Sexual Violence Suspect Did Not Occur in Polda Metro Jaya's Interrogation Room
Jakarta, Kompas.com - The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, has emphasised that the assault on FA, the suspect in a sexual violence case, did not occur within the investigation room of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation for the Protection of Women and Children and the Eradication of Human Trafficking.
Budi explained that at the time, two groups of sympathisers clashed in two locations.
“There were two locations. One in the PPA lobby and one in front of the investigation room,” Budi said when met by reporters at Mapolda Metro Jaya on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
FA has also continued to deny the allegations of sexual violence he allegedly committed against his employee in 2022.
“They brought sympathisers because there was disappointment from the victim’s side in the sexual violence case,” Budi explained.
As a result of the incident, FA and his driver, R, sustained injuries and have been treated by doctors.
Police also arrested four individuals who assaulted FA and R. The perpetrator with initials AR pushed and punched FA, causing him injuries.
Meanwhile, the other three perpetrators targeted R. He was pushed by the perpetrator with initials AT, punched and headbutted in the chest by HT, then punched in the stomach and strangled by I.
“After the incident, the team arrested the four perpetrators,” Budi said.
Although FA was a victim in this case, Budi stressed that the sexual violence case against him continues to proceed.
Budi urged the public not to be swayed by divisive SARA narratives that steer this assault case.
“We must remain objective about the incident and the case faced by the individual. Do not hinder the investigation process,” Budi stated.
Previously, FA’s side claimed that their client was mobbed by a group of people in the investigation room of the Special Services Room of the Directorate of Protection of Women and Children (PPA) at Polda Metro Jaya.
FA’s legal representative, Irwansyah, said the mobbing was carried out by dozens of people.
