Assault by doctor leads to protest

BANDUNG/CIREBON, West Java: Dozens of journalists in Bandung staged a protest on Tuesday in front of Hasan Sadikin Hospital to demand that Dr. Daddy Carlo be punished for an alleged assault on TV7 cameraman Freddy Bangun.

Similar protests were also held by journalists in Cirebon and Indramayu regencies, also in West Java province.

The alleged assault occurred on Monday when Freddy was covering an event at the hospital. The doctor reportedly pushed Freddy's camera out of his way, but the camera ended up hitting the TV7 journalist in the face. -- JP
