ASN at Aru Prosecutor's Office in Maluku Named Suspect in Alleged CPNS Fraud Case
An aparatur sipil negara (ASN) serving as an administrative employee at the Aru District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) in Maluku, with initials FS, has been named a suspect in a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement.
The Head of Legal Information and Public Relations at the Maluku High Prosecutor’s Office, Ardi, stated that they are currently proposing a dishonourable dismissal letter (PTDH) for FS to the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).
“It has already been proposed for PTDH, but the letter has not yet come down from the Kejagung,” he said when contacted on Tuesday (14/4).
FS, also known as Fedrika, is alleged to have defrauded a woman named Suryani Bugis. FS promised to secure Suryani a position as an ASN at the Kejari Aru in exchange for hundreds of millions of rupiah. Suryani then deposited the money with FS. However, after the payment, Suryani received no further updates.
“Yes, she promised to get her in as a CPNS at the Prosecutor’s Office,” he said.
Suryani reported the fraud case at the SPKT Building of the Maluku Regional Police in December 2025. FS was eventually designated as a suspect by investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation on 13 March 2026. At present, FS has not yet been detained.
“Mr FS was designated as a suspect on 13 March, but up to now, she has not been examined or detained,” he added.
He urged the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation to immediately carry out a forced pickup of the suspect, as she has been reported to repeatedly ignore summons. Currently, he said, FS’s condition is healthy and she is not ill.
“If the excuse is always illness, how can the case be resolved quickly? Investigators should not follow the suspect’s rhythm; the victim is ours,” he said.
Police respond
The Head of Public Relations at the Maluku Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol Rosita Umasugi, commented on FS’s status as a designated suspect who has not yet been detained. She claimed that her side will soon carry out a forced pickup of FS. This step is being taken to ensure the legal process proceeds, as the suspect has ignored summons twice.
“Investigators have carried out all stages in accordance with procedure. Because the suspect did not properly comply with the summons twice, legal steps will be taken in the form of issuing an order to bring,” said Rosita in a written statement on Tuesday (11/4).
She emphasised that the step is taken to guarantee legal certainty and to accelerate the resolution of the case.
