Askrindo's Smart Mobile Reaches Soppeng Region, South Sulawesi

PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has introduced the Smart Mobile (MoPi) programme in Soppeng, South Sulawesi, as part of efforts to improve education quality. “Through the Smart Mobile programme, Askrindo is striving to expand access to quality education, particularly for early childhood in remote areas,” said Askrindo’s President Director, M Fankar Umran, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday. MoPi is a mobile educational facility in the form of a travelling library equipped with children’s reading books, educational play tools, and interactive learning media. The presence of MoPi is expected to enhance literacy in reading, writing, and arithmetic among early childhood, while strengthening the capacity of early childhood education teachers and providing parenting education to parents. Fankar explained that the programme represents the company’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education. Furthermore, Fankar added, this programme also supports SDG No. 8, namely inclusive and sustainable economic growth through the development of quality human resources. To date, Askrindo’s MoPi, developed in collaboration with PAUD Inspirasi Indonesia, has been distributed across various regions in Indonesia. The company states that it has provided a total of 25 MoPi units reaching schools and educational communities from Sabang to Merauke. The arrival of Askrindo’s MoPi in Soppeng Regency further strengthens the reach of this programme in supporting equitable access to literacy, especially in areas still facing limitations in educational facilities. “The Askrindo Smart Mobile programme is driven by the still low interest in reading among early childhood and limited access to literacy facilities in various regions. Therefore, the presence of Askrindo’s Smart Mobile is hoped to provide a solution in reaching communities more broadly and equitably in the regions,” he stated.
