Askrindo overhauls operations to improve services for MSMEs
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero), or Askrindo, is overhauling its operational governance to improve service quality for customers, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The overhaul involves centralising three branch-office functions: finance and accounting, underwriting or risk selection, and claims.
“As a concrete step, centralising these operational functions will ensure that we can provide services to MSMEs and recipients of People’s Business Credit (KUR) more quickly and reliably, and to the same standards throughout Indonesia,” Askrindo President Director R. Mahelan Prabantarikso said in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
Askrindo Finance Director Leonardo Henry Gavaza said the transformation was intended to address business processes that had previously been dispersed among branch offices, with some still handled manually.
“Centralisation strengthens controls and makes service quality more consistent throughout Indonesia,” Leonardo said.
The programme, which began in early 2025, is being carried out in four stages: assessment, trials, evaluation and nationwide implementation.
Finance and accounting centralisation was first tested at the Bandung, Surabaya and Jakarta branch offices. Underwriting was piloted in Makassar, Surabaya and Bandung, while BRI KUR claims were trialled in the Jakarta region.
As of September 2026, finance and accounting centralisation and general-insurance underwriting had entered the nationwide implementation stage.
Centralised handling of BRI KUR claims is targeted to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Askrindo said the programme is also part of its 2026 Corporate Work Plan and Budget (RKAP), which includes strengthening internal controls and operational accountability.
