Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has launched the Smart Vehicle (MoPi) programme in Sarolangun Regency, Jambi, to support efforts towards equitable access to education, particularly in remote regions.

“We hope the presence of MoPi can help improve early childhood literacy while providing sustainable benefits to the community in the Jambi region,” said Askrindo’s Finance Director Leonardo Henry Gavaza in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.

The MoPi programme is a mobile educational facility in the form of a travelling library equipped with children’s reading books, educational play tools, and interactive learning media.

Askrindo provides this programme as an effort to fulfil Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Number 4 on Quality Education.

The presence of MoPi is expected to enhance reading, writing, and arithmetic literacy among early childhood children, while also providing education for educators and parents.

The programme is also targeted at supporting improvements in human resource quality (HR) through early education.

Sarolangun Regent Hurmin appreciated Askrindo’s support in enhancing education quality in his region, particularly for early childhood children.

He hopes that various stakeholders can synergise in supporting human resource development in the area.

“This Smart Vehicle assistance is not just a facility, but a tangible form of concern in supporting improvements in education quality, especially for early childhood children in Sarolangun Regency,” he said.

As part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility Programme (TJSL), Askrindo’s Smart Vehicle also collaborates with PAUD Inspirasi Indonesia and has been present in 23 units across various regions in Indonesia.

The presence of MoPi in Sarolangun is expected to further expand the reach of Askrindo’s literacy programme, particularly for areas that still have limited access to educational facilities.

In the future, Askrindo targets MoPi to operate sustainably to reach PAUD schools and communities, so that its benefits can be optimally felt in improving education quality in the region.
