Askrindo Involves SOE Volunteers in Regional Community Empowerment

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero), or Askrindo, is involving volunteers in community empowerment activities through the 2026 BUMN Bakti Volunteer Programme in several regions.

Askrindo is organising activities in Langowan, North Sulawesi, and is also deploying volunteers to South Lampung and Ruteng, East Nusa Tenggara.

Askrindo’s Director of Compliance, HR & Risk Management, R. Mahelan Prabantarikso, stated in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday that direct involvement in these regions allows the company to observe community needs more concretely.

“When we are among the community, we see directly that their needs are simple, yet often very fundamental,” said Mahelan.

According to him, the company’s involvement in the programme consists not only of activity coordination but also direct participation alongside volunteers and the community.

“We do not want this to end merely as programme coordination. In the field, we participate, learn, and see firsthand how this collaboration can function and deliver an impact, however simple it may be,” he added.

In addition to Langowan, Askrindo is participating in the 2026 BUMN Bakti Volunteer Programme by sending selected volunteers to South Lampung and Ruteng, East Nusa Tenggara.

The BUMN Bakti Volunteer Programme is an annual initiative by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) involving 110 volunteers from 21 SOEs across 11 locations throughout Indonesia.

These activities are being carried out simultaneously from 16–19 August 2026 as part of the celebrations for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

“Askrindo will continue to be present in programmes such as this. We believe that a good company is not only one that is business-healthy, but also one whose presence is truly felt through efforts in community empowerment,” Mahelan concluded.
