The strengthening of regional economic growth is beginning to attract attention from the financial industry, including how business risks are managed more systematically.

In Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, this step is becoming evident following PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo)’s collaboration with the local government to expand financing as well as risk protection, both for government projects and small business actors.

“This collaboration represents our commitment to delivering relevant guarantee and insurance solutions tailored to regional needs,” stated Askrindo’s President Director M Fankar Umran in an official statement on Thursday (9/4/2026).

“While simultaneously strengthening an inclusive productive financing ecosystem,” he added.

Through this partnership, Askrindo is preparing surety bond guarantee services to support local government projects. This scheme plays a role in ensuring the smooth running of projects while providing certainty for business actors involved in goods and services procurement.

On the other hand, the company is also targeting the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector through the development of micro-insurance products. Products such as Asuransi Mikro Usahaku and Asuransi Bahari are designed to provide basic protection for business actors who are still vulnerable to business disruptions.

Looking ahead, this collaboration has the potential to be expanded to other products such as personal accident insurance and additional protection tailored to community needs.

With the trend of regional economic growth, synergy between financial institutions and governments is considered a key factor in maintaining business sustainability, especially for MSMEs as the backbone of the local economy.

Fankar emphasised that similar steps will continue to be promoted in various regions of Indonesia.

“We believe that strong synergy between Askrindo and local governments will serve as a catalyst in creating more inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” he stated.

“Through appropriate and value-added risk protection,” Fankar concluded.
