Askrindo Collects Rp1.16 Trillion in Premiums in Q1, Up 10 Percent
Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) recorded premiums of Rp1.16 trillion, representing approximately 10 percent growth (year-on-year/yoy) as of 31 March 2026. “We ensure that the growth achieved is not only rapid but also of high quality,” said Askrindo’s Director of Compliance, Human Resources, and Risk Management, R. Mahelan Prabantarikso, during a media briefing in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday evening. The premium growth was mainly driven by a significant increase in the general insurance line, with this segment recording up to 44 percent growth. In line with that, Askrindo stated that the company’s profits increased by 77 percent (yoy), although it did not detail the profit figure recorded. Based on unaudited financial reports, Askrindo recorded gross premiums of Rp4.44 trillion and net underwriting results of Rp1.28 trillion. On a consolidated basis, Askrindo’s equity increased to approximately Rp9.4 trillion, while total assets reached approximately Rp32.9 trillion. “We see that the 2025 performance is not just numerical growth, but the result of the foundation we have consistently built, particularly in strengthening governance, risk management, and underwriting quality. This is the key to our business sustainability going forward,” Mahelan said. To maintain sustainable growth, Askrindo is implementing a portfolio diversification strategy through three main pillars. First, strengthening government assignment business as the company’s main foundation. Second, developing the SOE and corporate segments through more focused services. Third, expanding the retail business, including micro insurance products, parametric insurance, travel insurance, and motor vehicle insurance. These steps are part of the company’s strategy to broaden service reach while increasing market penetration in various segments. “Our focus is on maintaining a balance between business expansion and risk discipline,” he added.
