Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (Bank BJB) have signed a Cooperation Agreement for the provision of Housing Programme Credit Insurance. Askrindo Business Director Budhi Novianto stated that this step represents a joint commitment to support government programmes aimed at expanding the provision of decent housing for the public and strengthening the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in West Java. “Askrindo is fully committed to supporting Bank BJB in making the government’s priority programmes in the housing sector a success,” Budhi said. Bank BJB has received a mandate to run the government programme with a housing credit distribution ceiling reaching Rp500 billion. This underpins Bank BJB’s collaboration with Askrindo, with the goal of creating solid risk mitigation and maintaining the sustainability of financing distribution. “Through the Housing Programme Credit Insurance scheme, we are here to provide certainty and security for Bank BJB, so that access to financing can flow more widely and inclusively, including for the public and MSMEs who wish to own a home,” Budhi said. He further emphasised that the signing represents the initial step in a series of long-term collaborations. Moving forward, Askrindo is targeting potential cooperation with Bank BJB beyond the housing sector. “Askrindo will explore opportunities to strengthen other business synergies to provide added value for both parties,” Budhi said. He added that the synergy between Askrindo and Bank BJB demonstrates that collaboration between financial institutions can accelerate the realisation of the people’s welfare programmes launched by the government.
