Asked About Resigning from Golkar Central Board, Nusron: Long Discussions Held, Ask Mr Bahlil for More
The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, has admitted that he has been in discussions for a long time with the General Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, regarding his position within the party leadership. This was stated by Nusron when asked about reports that he had resigned from the Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board (DPP).
“Regarding that matter, we have been discussing it with Mr Bahlil since last year. Therefore, for the rest, it is better to ask Mr Bahlim as the General Chairman. We have discussed that issue for a long time,” said Nusron at the Senayan parliamentary complex on Monday (21/09/2026).
When asked further about the reasons for his resignation and whether the decision was related to his focus on performing his duties in the government, Nusron did not provide an answer.
Previously, the Secretary General of the Golkar Party DPP, M. Sarmuji, revealed that Nusron Wahid had resigned from the Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board. Sarmuji noted that Nusron’s resignation occurred well before the current issues involving the Ministry of ATR/BPN, which is presently under investigation by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
