Asked About Gibran's Diploma Controversy and Coalition Parties, Jokowi Refers to Constitutional Court

The diploma of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is currently being challenged by Denny Indrayana and associates at the Constitutional Court (MK). This matter has drawn significant public attention and commentary, particularly as the diploma of the 7th President, Jokowi, is also facing a challenge from Roy Suryo.

When asked by the media on Thursday (1/10/2026) whether any coalition parties supporting Gibran during the 2024 Election would step in to defend him against the diploma lawsuit, Jokowi responded casually, referring instead to the Constitutional Court.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Vice President Gibrante’s diploma, Jokowi, in his capacity as father, requested that everyone follow the ongoing legal process.

“Yes, we will follow the process existing in the Court. We will follow it,” Jokowi stated casually in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday (1/10/2026).

He further mentioned that he would personally follow the legal proceedings taking place at the Constitutional Court.
