Asian Games slogan draws criticism

BANGKOK (Reuter): Organizers of next year's Asian Games in Thailand have upset Olympic officials with their slogan publicizing the event.

Sheik Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, chairman of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), has asked Games organizers to stop using the slogan "Asian Victory" because it carried implications of racial superiority, a Thai Olympic official said yesterday.
