Asia-Pacific favored for investment

SINGAPORE: Asia Pacific has emerged as a favorable region for
property investment, a research program aimed at forecasting
"winning" locations said on Thursday.

Spearheaded by Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) and an investment
management arm, the research is aimed at defining the "essence of
competitiveness in cities of the future."

Asia-Pacific governments and investors are "acutely sensitive
to any sign of rising or falling geo-political or economic
importance in the various rankings of national competitiveness,"
said JLL.

International firms are also focusing more on opportunities in
Asian countries as production bases and potential markets. -- DPA
