ASF gets ISO certificate

JAKARTA (JP): PT Astra Sedaya Finance (ASF), a subsidiary of PT Astra International, has received a certificate of ISO 9001 from the United Kindom-based SGS Yarsley ICS.

The company said here on Monday that the ISO 9001 certification was issued by SGS Yarsley on April 10 following two days of a tough assessment in the quality of its service.

"Preparation for the ISO 9001 certification was facilitated by PSC Arthur Andersen for five months," it said.

Astra Sedaya, one of Indonesia's major auto financing companies, booked a net income of Rp 65.7 billion in 1999, an increase of 98 percent from Rp 33.1 billion in the previous year.
