ASDP's 53rd Anniversary: Pioneer Ferry Services Grow 11 Percent
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) marked its 53rd anniversary (HUT) with recorded growth in pioneer ferry services and vehicle transport throughout 2025. Amid high national mobility and sea transportation operational challenges, the company also kept ship accident rates below the company target.
The momentum of ASDP’s 53rd HUT was celebrated through the ASDP Charity Run event held at the ASDP Head Office on Sunday (10/5/2026).
The event not only served as a sports and camaraderie gathering but also as part of the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable impacts for society, the environment, and national transportation services.
“Through this 53rd HUT, we aim to strengthen the spirit that ASDP not only connects inter-island routes but also brings real benefits to the community,” he continued.
Throughout 2025, ASDP still faced several shipping incidents, from accidents and ship groundings to collisions. Nevertheless, the company managed to keep the ship accident rate at 0.220 percent, better than the company target of 0.230 percent, with a total of five ship accidents throughout the year.
As part of the ASDP Berdampak spirit, funds from the Charity Run were allocated to various social and environmental programmes. These programmes include life jacket assistance to support maritime safety, aid for orphanages, and mangrove planting as an environmental conservation effort.
Alongside the service growth, vehicle transport also rose 15 percent to more than 556,000 units. This achievement is said to reinforce ASDP’s position as a transportation operator and driver of national connectivity and economy.
The company’s service performance is also reflected in customer satisfaction levels reaching a score of 3.34 out of a scale of 4. This is supported by strengthened digital services, improved staff competency, and operations deemed increasingly reliable.
During the Eid transport and Christmas-New Year (Nataru) periods, ASDP also received appreciation for ferry service management that is considered increasingly good and integrated.
These achievements demonstrate that ASDP continues to grow as a company oriented towards public service amid the challenges of the ferry transportation industry.
ASDP Corporate Secretary Windy Andale stated that the 53rd HUT commemoration is a momentum to strengthen the service and safety culture within the company.
“Through the ASDP Berdampak spirit, we want to ensure that every service provided is not only reliable and safe but also adds value for society and Indonesia’s future,” Windy concluded.
