PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is urging the public to promptly take advantage of the stimulus programme providing discounts on ferry crossing fares, which remains widely available, especially for the Lebaran 2026 return flow journeys. To date, the programme has been utilised by more than 1.06 million service users across various national routes. This stimulus takes the form of reductions of up to 100% on port service fees, equivalent to approximately 21.9% of the total crossing fare. The policy forms part of ASDP’s support for the government’s programme to deliver more affordable and inclusive transportation services for the public. ASDP’s President Director, Heru Widodo, stated that the programme quota is still substantial and can be optimally utilised by the public. “We urge the public to plan their return flow journeys early and book tickets immediately via Ferizy. The quota for this programme is still widely available, giving the public an opportunity for more economical travel,” he said. Up to 18 March 2026 at 23:59 WIB, the realisation of stimulus absorption reached Rp10.5 billion, or about 29.58% of the target, with the number of service users at 44.43%. The difference in percentages is influenced by variations in vehicle types and routes utilising the programme. The programme applies to several strategic routes such as Merak–Bakauheni, Ketapang–Gilimanuk, Lembar–Padangbai, up to Kupang–Rote and Galala–Namlea. With such national coverage, the programme’s absorption continues to move dynamically following mobility patterns in various regions. As mobility increases, the distribution of mudik flow is also monitored to be more even. On the Java–Sumatra route, based on data from the Merak Post during the H-1 Lebaran period (20 March 2026), 20,540 passengers crossed, down 33.5% from last year. Meanwhile, the total vehicles recorded were 6,203 units, down 31.6% from the same period the previous year. This decline indicates that the public is starting to travel earlier, so the mudik flow is not concentrated at one time. To maintain service smoothness, ASDP operates 28 to 33 ships per day flexibly, and implements a delaying system in several buffer zones with the support of thousands of personnel at major ports. From the digital service side, ASDP continues to optimise the Ferizy platform, which allows ticket purchases up to H-60 before departure. Tickets can also be received practically via WhatsApp or email with various digital payment method options. Cumulatively, passenger movement from Java to Sumatra during the H-10 to H-1 period recorded 817,456 people, up 2.4% from last year. Meanwhile, the flow from Sumatra to Java reached 386,942 passengers, up 3.9%.
