ASDP strengthens Java-Bali ferry services for Eid al-Adha holiday
Banyuwangi (ANTARA) – PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is bolstering ferry service readiness at the Ketapang (Banyuwangi)-Gilimanuk (Bali) route ahead of the extended Eid al-Adha holiday in 2026. CEO Heru Widodo said the measures aim to ensure smooth passenger movement and logistics distribution amid anticipated surges in ferry traffic. ‘The company has implemented comprehensive anticipatory measures to ensure optimal ferry operations during the holiday period,’ he stated in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Wednesday. In addition to reinforcing service readiness across main routes, Widodo added that ASDP is prioritising safety, comfort, and improved travel experiences for passengers. Secretary Windy Andale noted the deployment of additional vessel KMP Roditha on the Ketapang-Gilimanuk route to maintain smooth crossings in the Bali Strait. ‘We urge passengers to purchase tickets independently via the Ferizy digital platform and arrive at the port according to their ticketed departure schedule to ensure orderly vehicle distribution and prevent port congestion,’ she said. ‘Mini coordination posts have been established throughout the holiday period to strengthen on-ground operational coordination and service delivery,’ she added.
