South Lampung (ANTARA) — PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry has reported that the number of homeward-bound travellers using Bakauheni Port in Lampung to travel to Java Island during the 2026 Lebaran holiday has increased by 4.9 per cent compared with the same period last year.

“Based on data from Bakauheni Command Post for 24 hours from H-7 to H-6, the total passenger realisation at Bakauheni Port, Wika Beton, and BBJ Muara Pilu crossing from Sumatra to Java on H-6 reached 40,794 people, or an increase of 4.9 per cent compared with the realisation for the same period in 2025 of 38,885 people,” said Partogi Tamba, General Manager of PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch, in South Lampung on Sunday.

Meanwhile, he noted that the number of two-wheeled vehicles that had crossed reached 620 units, or an increase of 15.5 per cent compared with last year’s realisation of 537 units.

“For four-wheeled vehicles, the figure reached 4,623 units, or an increase of 12.8 per cent compared with the realisation for the same period last year of 4,098 units,” he said.

The total number of trucks crossing reached 2,531 units, or an increase of 8.5 per cent compared with the same period last year of 2,332 units. Meanwhile, the total number of buses crossing reached 550 units, or a decrease of 7.9 per cent compared with the same period last year of 597 units.

“The total of all vehicles recorded crossing from Sumatra to Java was 8,324 units, an increase of 10 per cent compared with the realisation for the same period last year of 7,564 units,” he said.

He therefore urged ferry service users to purchase Ferizy tickets well in advance.

“We urge prospective homeward-bound travellers from Sumatra Island to Java and vice versa who will use ASDP ferry services to purchase tickets well in advance,” he said.
