ASDP: Private cars and buses prioritised on Ketapang-Gilimanuk route
Banyuwangi, East Java - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ketapang Branch, Banyuwangi, East Java, is prioritising private cars and buses on the Ketapang (Banyuwangi)-Gilimanuk (Bali) route to maintain smooth return crossings during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr traffic. The Ketapang Branch General Manager, Arie Eko, in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Saturday, stated that logistics trucks are not prioritised for crossing the Bali Strait during the Eid mudik and return flows. “There are no restrictions, but according to the regulations, if the return crossing is crowded, we direct logistics trucks to the buffer zone at Dermaga Bulusan parking lot or Terminal Sri Tanjung, Pusri, but if it’s light, they can be loaded directly,” he said. Meanwhile, one logistics truck driver, Efendi, said he has been parked at Dermaga Bulusan for about six hours with over a hundred other logistics trucks to cross to Bali Island via Ketapang Port. According to him, all logistics truck drivers directed to park temporarily in the Dermaga Bulusan buffer zone because the crossing flow is currently busy and they are waiting for the holidaymakers’ turn to lighten. “I myself since 02:00 WIB and until this morning have not crossed,” said Efendi. From observations, the H+7 Eid al-Fitr 2026 return flow or Saturday (28/3/2026) was busy and smooth, with holidaymakers arriving at Ketapang Port and crossing to Gilimanuk Port dominated by two-wheeled vehicles followed by four-wheeled vehicles or private cars.
