PT Angkutan Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan (ASDP) Indonesia Ferry’s Bakauheni branch in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, has prepared multiple parking buffer zones to anticipate traffic congestion at the port entrance during the Eid holiday period.

General Manager of ASDP Bakauheni Branch Partogi Tamba stated that the buffer zones have been established as a precautionary measure against potential traffic congestion at the Bakauheni Ferry Port entrance during the Eid al-Fitri holiday exodus.

“To anticipate passenger accumulation or congestion in the port area, we have optimised several parking buffer zones including rest area KM 49B, KM 20B, and non-tolled locations such as the Gayam Agribusiness Terminal, Gunung Jati Restaurant, RM Tiga Saudara, and the Old Office of the Quarantine Centre,” he stated.

He emphasised that ASDP Bakauheni has stationed personnel at the designated buffer zones to provide services and assist prospective travellers in purchasing ferry tickets before entering the port area.

“Ticket sales will no longer occur within the port area. Ensure you have already purchased tickets before departure and arrive at the port according to the schedule printed on your ticket to avoid queuing or service delays,” he said.

To prevent vehicle congestion at the port, ASDP reminded service users to obtain tickets before arriving at the port, travel according to the departure schedule on their ticket, and ensure passenger data and identification details are completed accurately and fully.

“We urge service users to obtain tickets before arriving at the port. Current capacity remains sufficient and is carefully managed through our digital system,” he said.
