ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) organised a Ramadan charity event yesterday at the Klepean Centre for Humanity, distributing aid to orphans and other members of the community. The contributions were handed over directly by ASDP’s President Commissioner, Achmad Baidowi, as part of the company’s commitment to sharing happiness and the blessings of Ramadan.

ASDP’s Chief Executive Officer, Heru Widodo, said that the Ramadan activity is not merely a social agenda but a reflection of humanitarian values the company maintains. ‘Ramadan is a moment that reminds us all to strengthen empathy for others. We hope this activity will spread a spirit of togetherness, reinforce ties of friendship, and bring happiness to the community in this blessed month,’ he said in a statement on Sunday (8/3/2026).

During the event, ASDP partnered with the Klepean Centre for Humanity as a collaborative partner to distribute aid to the surrounding community. Through the collaboration, ASDP distributed basic food packages to around 200 attendees, including 25 orphans who also received donations.

Space for Togetherness

Windy Andale, Corporate Secretary of ASDP, explained that the activity is not only about distributing aid, but also designed as a space for togetherness that strengthens social relations. ‘The series of events flowed warmly with a tausiyah on the wisdom of Ramadan, followed by an iftar together. We hope this activity not only provides direct benefits to the orphans and the attendees but also fosters empathy and broader social care,’ Windy said.

The programme is also part of ASDP’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 No Poverty and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities. Meanwhile, Abu Hasan, Chairperson of the Klepean Centre for Humanity, appreciated the collaboration with ASDP and hopes similar activities can continue in the future.

As a national cross-water transport company, ASDP remains committed to being present not only as a connector between regions but also as an entity that adds value to society through sustainable social programmes.
