ASDP offers up to 100 per cent discount on port service fees during school holidays
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is providing discounts of up to 100 per cent on port service fees across several strategic ferry routes during the 2026 school holidays to support public mobility and government stimulus programmes.
President Director of PT ASDP, Heru Widodo, stated that during this year’s school holidays, the company aims to create a more accessible momentum for the public to travel and explore various regions in Indonesia via ferry transport. “Through this policy, service users will receive a 100 per cent discount on port service fees, which averages approximately 21.9 per cent of the total ferry ticket fare,” Heru said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
He noted that the programme applies to trips scheduled between 20 June and 5 July 2026, with ticket bookings available from 6 June 2026. Heru emphasised that this step represents a tangible synergy between ASDP and the government to maintain public purchasing power and strengthen inter-regional connectivity during the holiday season. He added that ASDP fully supports government stimulus programmes designed to increase mobility and drive national economic growth.
The policy follows a directive from the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation regarding the implementation of ferry transport fare discounts for the 2026 school holiday period. The stimulus programme is applied to 14 ports serving seven strategic national routes, namely Merak–Bakauheni, Ketapang–Gilimanuk, Lembar–Padangbai, Kayangan–Poto Tano, Tanjung Uban–Telaga Punggur, Ajibata–Ambarita, and Sape–Labuan Bajo. The policy covers services for foot passengers as well as Group II and Group IVA vehicles to support smooth inter-regional mobility. Specifically for the Merak–Bakauheni route, the tariff stimulus applies to both regular economic and Express services, providing more efficient and affordable travel options on one of Indonesia’s busiest crossing routes.
ASDP Corporate Secretary Windy Andale added that all ticket purchases must be made online via the Ferizy application or the official website, trip.ferizy.com, to ensure a practical and orderly service process. In line with the implementation of electronic ticketing, ASDP advises the public to make reservations well in advance of departure. Windy noted that earlier travel planning would help users secure schedules according to their needs and avoid congestion during the peak school holiday period. She also reminded users to ensure they have tickets before arriving at the port to ensure a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey.
