ASDP Gilimanuk Uniformed Man Suspected of Extortion, Management Responds
Netizens are abuzz with allegations of illegal levies (pungli) at Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana Regency, Bali. The act is suspected to have been carried out by a man in uniform from PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). The video uploader also claimed that security personnel were involved in the pungli activity.
“An individual who frequently extorts at Gilimanuk Port using a measuring tape as a pretext. This isn’t the only person; the security guards are also involved,” reads the caption in the post circulating on social media.
Bintang Felfian, the Public Relations Manager for ASDP’s Ketapang-Gilimanuk route, has spoken out regarding the alleged pungli. He affirmed that the company has followed up on the information.
“Regarding the post on Facebook, we have already followed it up,” Bintang stated when confirmed by detikBali on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
Bintang explained that ASDP has strict procedures for handling suspected ethical violations by employees. According to him, the employee in question has already been asked for a statement.
“In accordance with our procedures, the officer will be summoned for questioning by the relevant department head,” Bintang said.
“In principle, ASDP does not tolerate any form of pungli, no matter how small, and is committed to taking firm action against such violations,” he concluded.
