JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is strengthening its role in supporting national logistics connectivity amid rising needs for inter-regional goods distribution. This initiative is realised through the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding in the maritime logistics sector with the Indonesian Digital Economy Logistics Association (ALDEI). The agreement was signed by ASDP’s Director of Operations and Transformation, Rio Lasse, and ALDEI’s General Chairman, Imam Sedayu, in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/5/2026). The collaboration is directed towards strengthening the national logistics ecosystem to make it more integrated, responsive to digital developments, and capable of enhancing national distribution competitiveness. Ferry infrastructure is also seen as playing a crucial role in maintaining the smoothness of supply chains and goods distribution between regions, especially in an archipelagic country like Indonesia. ASDP’s Director of Operations and Transformation, Rio Lasse, stated that this partnership is part of the company’s transformation to expand its strategic contribution to the national logistics sector. “We are not only continuing to transform as a ferry operator, but also as an important part of the national logistics ecosystem,” said Rio in an official statement on Friday (8/5/2026). “Through this collaboration, ASDP seeks to provide increasingly integrated and efficient services so that inter-regional connectivity and logistics distribution can run more optimally,” he added. The partnership also covers strengthening multimodal connectivity and improving the efficiency of national and international supply chains. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the flow of goods distribution while strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s logistics sector.
