ASDP Distributes 2,000 School Supply Packages in Lampung as Part of One-Year Danantara Programme
JAKARTA — President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasised the importance of integrity and disciplined governance in the management of state assets whilst attending a one-year reflection event for Danantara Indonesia at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Tuesday 11 March 2026.
The event was attended by several Cabinet ministers, leaders of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and Danantara personnel. This occasion served as a reflection on one year of the state investment management institution’s efforts in strengthening the foundation of national asset management.
In his remarks, the President stated that Danantara was established to ensure state assets are managed professionally with a long-term orientation. He noted this is important so that the management of state wealth can provide genuine added value to national economic development and public welfare.
Prabowo said Indonesia now possesses a state investment management institution comparable to sovereign wealth funds at the global level. According to him, achievements over the past year demonstrate that with good management and disciplined governance, state asset management performance can improve.
Nevertheless, the President stressed that these achievements are merely an initial step. Going forward, strengthened governance and performance improvements remain priorities so that the benefits of state asset management can be felt more widely by the public.
The one-year reflection event for Danantara adopted the theme “One Danantara”, which reflects the spirit of collaboration amongst all SOEs in working together to strengthen the foundation of the national economy and create sustainable development impact for future generations.
CEO Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani explained that the institution’s first year focused on building strong institutional foundations and governance. This was done to ensure that state investment management remained oriented towards long-term benefits for the public.
Rosan stated that the management of state assets must ultimately deliver tangible impact for the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to developing future generations is also an important part of Danantara’s journey.
This commitment, he continued, is reflected not only in strengthening governance and the structure of state investment management, but also through various social initiatives that provide direct benefit to the public.
As a symbol of support for the future of young people, at this occasion a symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages was also conducted for children in various regions across Indonesia. This programme was implemented simultaneously by several SOEs as part of support for educational access and preparation towards Indonesia’s Golden Generation.
One SOE that participated was PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). The company held a symbolic handing-over of aid at the BSI Mosque in the Bakauheni Harbour City area.
ASDP Director General Heru Widodo said his company distributed approximately 2,000 school supply packages to representatives of children in Lampung Province. The activity proceeded simply and began with a visit to Siger Tower, followed by Qur’anic recitation, Ramadan sermons, and breaking of the fast together.
Heru stated that this programme represented the company’s contribution to supporting the growth of Indonesia’s future generation. He added that support for education is an important investment in the nation’s future.
Through this one-year reflection milestone, Danantara reiterated its commitment to continue strengthening governance foundations, improve the quality of state asset management, and encourage strategic investments that deliver long-term economic and social impact for Indonesia.
