ASDP: Congestion at Gilimanuk Port Has Been Resolved
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has confirmed that queues of vehicles heading to Gilimanuk Port have been successfully resolved. All vehicles on Wednesday (18/3) are under control within the buffer zone area, so there are no longer any vehicle queues outside the port premises.
The Deputy Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Yossianis Marciano, stated that this accomplishment is the result of close synergy among all stakeholders in gradually alleviating the density.
βThe resolution of these queues is the result of joint efforts, starting from the optimisation of ship operations, traffic management, to the maximum utilisation of the buffer zone. We ensure that services continue to run optimally so that service users can be served well,β he said in a statement on Wednesday (18/3).
The Ministry of Transportation has also confirmed that traffic conditions leading to the port are under control. The Director General of Land Transportation, Aan Suhanan, stated that since 16:00 WITA, there have been no more vehicle queues outside the port area because all have been accommodated in the buffer zone.
Various mitigation measures continue to be strengthened to maintain traffic flow stability, including accelerating ship service times at the dock, operating additional ships, and implementing a shorter-duration arrival-unloading-departure (TBB) system to speed up the loading and unloading process.
Aan also appreciated the collaboration of all parties, including the police, port operators, and the public who have supported the on-site arrangements.
