ASDP Bakauheni prepares 57 vessels for Eid homecoming period in 2026
Lampung Selatan — PT Angkutan Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan (ASDP) Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Bakauheni Port Branch in South Lampung has mobilised 57 vessels to serve passenger traffic during the Eid 2026 homecoming and return journey season.
Partogi Tamba, General Manager of ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Main Bakauheni Branch, stated that the fleet size ensures adequate capacity to serve passenger mobility during the Eid al-Fitr transport period in the Islamic year 1447 Hijriah.
He noted that the number of operating vessels represents a decrease compared to 2025, when 75 vessels were deployed. However, despite the reduction, the company maintains readiness at peak homecoming traffic periods on the Sumatra-to-Java maritime route.
ASDP remains committed to delivering optimal service to all ferry users. To support Eid transport operations, the company has mobilised 786 operational personnel and strengthened various service facilities, including buffer zones, delayed departure systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV), 24-hour health services, and optimised vessel berthing time to ensure smooth operations.
“Passenger safety is our primary priority. We work with all stakeholders to ensure ferry services remain optimal,” he said.
