ASDP Bakauheni Implements Single Ferry Fare for Return Traffic

South Lampung (ANTARA) – PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Main Branch Bakauheni Port, has announced a stimulus discount tariff programme and single tariff policy for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah return travel services.

General Manager Partogi Tamba explained that the single tariff will be implemented at Bakauheni Port from 23-29 March 2026. “This year we are implementing a single tariff, meaning our executive fares will be applied as regular rates, so all seven of our docks will apply regular tariffs during the return travel period from 23 to 29 March 2026,” he said.

According to him, the ferry crossing route linking Sumatera and Java is a vital artery supporting public mobility and national logistics distribution.

To support Eid holiday transport operations, ASDP has prepared 786 operational personnel and strengthened various service facilities including buffer zones, delay management systems, CCTV surveillance, 24-hour health services, and optimisation of ship docking time (port time) to ensure smooth operations.

“The smooth operation of ferry services depends not only on operator readiness, but also on strong coordination between regulators, operators, and all stakeholders at the port,” he said.

He expressed hope that with ASDP’s various preparations, the public can plan their journeys in advance and comply with applicable operational regulations so that return travel is smooth, orderly, comfortable, and safe.
