Ascott Bandung Region Fulfills Ascott CARES Commitment
As part of a commitment to sustainability and environmental care through Ascott CARES, the Ascott Bandung Region successfully conducted the 2026 World Cleanup Day activities in Lembur Katumbiri, Bandung, on 15 September 2026.
This initiative involved employees from six properties under the Ascott Bandung Region, namely Oakwood Merdeka Bandung, HARRIS & POP! Festival CityLink Bandung, HARRIS Hotel & Convention Ciumbuleuit Bandung, Kimaya Braga Bandung, YELLO Hotel Paskal Bandung, and FOX Lite Hotel Majalaya.
Alongside the local community, participants engaged in cleaning up rivers and areas around Lembur Katumbiri. As one of Bandung’s local tourist destinations, Lembur Katumbim faces environmental challenges due to waste carried from upstream areas, which impacts the cleanliness and environmental condition of the riverside.
Through this activity, Ascott Bandung Region aims to provide a tangible contribution to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more comfortable environment for both residents and tourists. This activity also serves as a form of support for the potential of Lembur Katumbiri as a local tourist destination that can continue to develop.
“Through this World Cleanup Day activity, we hope that the contribution made together with the community can provide a positive impact, not only for the environment but also for the surrounding community. With a cleaner and well-maintained environment, we hope Lembur Katumbiri can become an increasingly comfortable and attractive destination to visit,” said Mr E. Anom, Combo General Manager of HARRIS & Pop Festival Citylink Bandung, in a written statement on Thursday (17/9).
Through this initiative, Ascott Bandung Region hopes that the spirit of environmental preservation will continue and inspire more parties to take part in creating clean, healthy, and sustainable tourist destinations.
